What MindLeash stores, and where
To work, the app saves a few things only on your device:
- The timers you set up and save, including any messages you write.
- Your timer history: when timers ran, how your check-ins went, and any ratings or short notes you add. Older history is removed after about 90 days.
- Voice messages you record yourself. They're stored inside the app and deleted when no timer uses them any more.
We (the maker of MindLeash) can't see any of this. If you delete the app, it's all deleted with it. If you back up your phone with iCloud or your computer, this data may be included in that backup, which is handled by Apple, not us.
Permissions the app asks for
- Notifications: so your alerts and check-ins can reach you while the app is closed. They're scheduled on your phone; nothing goes through our servers (we don't have any).
- Microphone: only if you choose to record your own voice message, and only while you're recording.
Spoken messages are read aloud by your iPhone's built-in voice, on the device.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics, tracking or advertising.
- We don't collect, sell or share personal information.
Apple may give us general, anonymous App Store figures (such as download numbers and crash reports if you've chosen to share them with developers). These don't identify you.
Children
MindLeash doesn't collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this ever changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the app changes.
